🤔 Is your target audience really on social media?

Not sure where to find your target audience?

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past 15 years, it’s no secret that social media is a massive force in the world around us. For many businesses, it’s the very thing that keeps them connected to their customers, drives sales, and builds brand awareness.

But, is your target audience *really* on social media? Is it *really* worth your time and marketing dollars?

Let’s take a look at a few numbers.

  • 3.43 billion. This is the expected number of global social media users in 2023. A large percentage of those people don’t belong in your target audience, however, because of the accessibility and targetting capabilities of the platforms, social media holds firm as the #1 pillar for marketers.

  • 2 billion. This is the number of Facebook’s monthly active users. While many people question if it’s still worth it to spend time marketing on Facebook, this stat alone should speak volumes.

  • 1.1 billion. Instagram’s forecasted users in 2022. Users spend an average of 10 hours a month scrolling through the platform. With Stories and Reels, brands have a huge opportunity to give their audience a lens into the authenticity, story, and people behind the account.

  • 1 billion. TikTok’s active user base has exploded to over 1 billion with 80 million of those people located in the US. And with 53% of users over the age of 29, the platform is no longer strictly for Gen Z. TikTok users watch a whopping 24 hours of content on the app each month. If your brand has yet to utilize this platform, you could be missing a massive opportunity to connect with your target audience.

  • 320 million. The microblogging platform Twitter continues to remain relevant to its loyal base of 320 million users. And historically, the platform loves to test new features like Spaces allowing brands and creators to connect in new ways. We recommend all businesses take advantage of sharing their personality and mission on Twitter.

  • 90% of B2B marketers use LinkedIn for organic social marketing, and 4 of 5 members drive business decisions. Remember, B2B (business-to-business) is still human-to-human marketing. If you’re in the B2B space, you should be undoubtedly focusing on LinkedIn growth.

What’s your favorite productivity hack? 🤔

As a small business owner or entrepreneur, productivity is the name of the game.

With all of life’s distractions coming at you all day, it can be difficult to stay focused on the task at hand. Perhaps my favorite productivity hack is time blocking. This is the practice of blocking out time for a particular task or event, and focusing all of your energy to complete your mission during the allotted time.

This helps minimize distractions, but it also gives you a solid framework for prioritizing your schedule.
