Social Grit is a boutique marketing agency headquartered in Charlotte, NC. We use customized social media and marketing services to help brands find their inner grit, share their unique story and build communities around that.

 

Social Grit has an immediate opening for a Social Media + Marketing Coordinator. We are looking for a passionate marketer who has extensive social media experience. The ideal candidate keeps up with all social media and marketing trends, can tell a brand’s story in a way that fits each unique social platform, is passionate about building online communities and helping companies grow, and would be described as creative and organized.  

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage social media content for clients and Social Grit
  • Work with Owner to craft monthly social media and marketing strategies
  • Create, curate and manage content (blog posts, video/images, graphics, etc.)
  • Manage daily social media campaigns and engagement
  • Establish and improve branding for clients
  • Grow social accounts with strategic content and customer engagement
  • Support Designer by reviewing, editing and approving work
  • Assist Designer with graphics as needed
  • Create new client content through photography/videography as needed
  • Organize and schedule content for clients
  • Stay up to date on trends and adapt strategy/content as needed
  • Make sure client calendars/content/events are scheduled in a timely manner
  • Has strong communication skills and responds quickly
  • Trusted to manage communications through social platforms, email, and face-to-face
  • Creates quarterly client reports analyzing successes and opportunities
  • Fits into company culture and works well individually and as a team
  • Finds ways to overcome obstacles and objections, remaining positive and encouraging

Requirements:

  • Excellent organization and creativity
  • Can quickly research, create and curate content
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Graphic Design experience
  • Photography/Videography experience
  • Passion for social media news/trends and the ability to adapt with the industry
  • Has a strong understanding of digital and marketing strategies and how to execute 
  • Experience getting positive online results for brands and knows how to report it
  • Quick learner who meets deadlines and follows directions without daily management
  • Experience creating/editing video and IG Stories
  • Ability to get in-person client content as needed
  • Great storyteller who can use that to create unique content and build communities
  • Takes initiative to learn about clients and how to best meet goals
  • Strong work ethic, encouraging attitude, and accountability for company and client work
  • Ability to meet in person when needed

Experience:

  • At least 1 year of experience managing social media for brands on all major platforms
  • Agency experience preferred
  • Experience with Canva, Photoshop, InDesign preferred
  • Experience with social media apps (Over, Unfold, Later, SocialPilot, Adobe Spark, etc.) preferred
  • Video creation/editing experience preferred
  • Facebook Ads experience preferred
  • Calendar/Organization program experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree: Marketing/Business/Communications focus preferred

Pay: $14–$17/hour based on experience
